On 17th June Greyhound Rescue Association Ireland invite you to Walk For The Greyhounds in Dublin.
The peaceful awareness walk for greyhounds, supported by Celebrities and Artists, follows the impact of last years walk through Dublin, which attracted people from all over Ireland, Europe and the USA.
The Great British Greyhound Walk on 24th June involves hundreds of organised walks, throughout Britain, led at the same time on the same day, to raise awareness of greyhounds and to promote them as the wonderful pets they are. You can find a walk near you or even organise and register one.
A protest for the campaign to keep Walthamstow greyhound track closed has been organised for Monday 25th June at 2 O'clock PM, outside the long-closed track. While we still wait for further news of the planning decision from London Mayor, Boris Johnson, polite emails of concern can still be sent.
Avon & Somerset Greyhound Action group will be raising awareness at Greyhound Gathering & Dog's Picnic, as part of greyhound remembrance weekend, on 22nd July at Eastville Park in Bristol from 12pm - 4pm. Further details from Action For Greyhounds.
9th September is the day for to break the world record for the largest single breed dog walk. 1000 Greyhounds is a day to also raise the awareness of the cruelty and neglect that greyhounds endure to sustain a gambling industry. There are various way's to be involved in 1000 Greyhounds to help make a difference.
